Point Reyes Lighthouse Visitor Center Trail

This little gem has quickly became one of my favorite spots in Bay Area. The drive to the lighthouse from Point Reyes center is about 10 miles and your view are wild fields of nature and farms. Most of the farmers are very friendly, so they allow you to stop and explore their farms where you can see sheep and cows. Sadly, dogs are not allowed to go to the Lighthouse, however, your best pal can wait in the car with AC and water for you to come back because you can visit the beach or other beautiful hikes around the area.

Most of the farms in North Bay are local and protected by the local communities. I think thats pretty amazing!

The  Point Reyes Lighthouse has a parking lot, not too big though but moderate and a bathroom. There are few hiking trails lead from the parking lot to different directions. For example you can walk to the beach or drive which is absolutely breathe taking or just hike around Point Reyes hills. 

The walk to Point Reyes Lighthouse is 30 minutes the most. You arrive on top of the hill where you have to walk down tons of steps (equivalent to 30-story building) to Lighthouse. The Lighthouse is super cute and historic. As you visit the Lighthouse, you are surrounded by ocean and waves. I loves seeing boats in the distance passing by and birds flighting over my head. 

The hike back up the hill is a bit hard but do take breaks and your time. I hope you enjoy the experience as much as I did! Cheers! g
