My fiancé and I hike a lot and this one has been on my bucket list for a while. We finally made it over and did it this past weekend. Gorgeous hike. We didn't take the boat and I think that's the way to go. Views start early and never stop. I didn't find it challenging physically; there is very little elevation gain and it's gradual up hill. There are tons of picture perfect moments and I would definitely give this hike 2 thumbs up. But go quick, there isn't much glacier left to see.

First and foremost, this hike isn't for the faint at heart. It's basically 5 miles of up. Very challenging hike and we went on a day with lots of overcast. Luckily we got to the lake before fog came in and covered it completely. We didn't see any views due to the fog; we were literally in the clouds which also meant it was quite wet. Would do it again if I knew it would be clear.

There are a lot of rocks to bolder on and a lot of space to just explore around the area. Tons of cool history to learn about; definitely worth the stop for an hour or two if you're in Coopers.

My fiance and I did our engagement pictures along this hike. Our photographer has been all over the world and called these views the most beautiful he's seen in all the world. A fairly easy climb, it's absolutely stunning.

Stunning views once you get to the top. The beginning of the hike is a little tricky trying to maneuver through the fallen trees and the snow. But once you find the trail, it's a good one. Lots of snow toward the top but the end view is worth it.
