The caves are closed indefinitely do to falling rocks. There are fences blocking the entrances.

Relatively easy hike. Nice incline, with good city views and the observatory at the top. Trail is well kept, but a bit dusty, and without much shade in the upper portions

Cliff side trail along the edge of town. Stunning ocean views. Marine life. Beautiful sea stone formations.

Lots of wildflowers in the springtime. Great coastal views

Interesting geological formation with a unique past. Rough road if you drive in. There are obsidian shards everywhere. Check your tires.

Moderate hike with some inclines that passes through LA’s “Big Wild”, including a bit of interesting Cold War history at the Nike Missile sight. At a little past the mid way point, the trail dips down into a residential neighborhood. After a walk along the road, it picks back up into the hills. As of late March, lots of greenery and wildflowers.
