Description

Take in the view from the summit Mount Bonnell (775 ft), one of the highest points in Austin.
The trail up is a combination of manmade and natural stairs that take you up to the top. At the summit, you will find beautiful views of the area, and a pavilion where you can have a picnic lunch.
To head back down by a different route, continue on the northern trail, which will take you past more scenic views, then down to the north end of the parking lot.

Mount Bonnell Loop Reviews
The beauty and peacefulness is undeniable. There are a lot of great views in austin but Mount Is easily accessible and arguably the most beautiful view. Going up the seemingly endless stairs is part of the experience for fitness gurus. But, There is an easily accessible short cut about 150ft to the right of the stairs. You can experience this view without no matter your experience level!

I Really wouldn’t call this a hike, more of a walk or a stroll but it does give you some good views overlooking Austin. Very busy place. Good place to take kids picnic eat lunch there. This for me just looking up the views was like 30 minutes.

This is an amazing place to overlook all of Austin and the surround metro area. While it's not huge, it does offer a lot of different views. The hike is very easy and manageable for all family members. If your looking for something easy and outdoors to do while in Austin, here you go!
