Cool, But Not A Must See

If you have limited time in Olympic National Park, I would recommend doing something else. The forest is cool, but it's just like a bigger version of the surrounding forest. The trees are huge, but other than that, nothing too exciting.

Challenging

Challenging hike, not for the dog or kids, but very well worth it for someone in good shape. The hike is actually 2.1 miles each way. Make sure to be careful at the top!

Very Easy

Easy hike, great for kids and anyone who doesn't have an issue climbing a few stairs at the end! Would highly recommend doing Storm King along with this hike if you are in good enough shape!

Steep, But Well Worth It

This hike was really steep, but the goats and views were well worth it. I spent 5 days in Olympic National Park and this was definitely the highlight!

Crowded, but nice falls

The parking lot was crowded when I went, and others day when I drive by it usually is. The hike is steep, but not difficult for someone who has hiked before. The falls are cool, and a great photo op!

Highly Recommend

Great hike! Went today (4/29/16) and it was a little foggy and rainy so not too many people. The lake was really foggy and we couldn't see much, but we stuck around for a little while and it cleared up! It was absolutely beautiful! The lake was still partially iced over, so I couldn't get a good picture of the reflection but I plan on going back this summer!

Nice, Easy Walk.

It was hard to find because of all of the side logging roads, but after I found it, it was awesome. I recommend GPSing it rather than trying to follow the instructions on this guide because there is so many new roads because of logging up their and you'll be confused.

Highly Recommend

I would recommend this to anyone. Super easy hike and such an awesome falls at the other end. So many different angles to photograph from that the possibilities are endless!

Excellent Falls

This is a great falls right by the parking lot. Only thing that would be nice is if you could get down to the bottom easier to take pictures.

Beautiful

Great views, you can even keep going on the trail to reach more falls. I went today (March 23rd) and it was really snowy. I'd recommend snowshoes if you plan on hiking past Tumalo. Also, the gate is closed so that adds about 4 miles on to your total hike. However, I would recommend checking this out.

Must See!

Great trail, long walk if the gate is closed, but worth it for sure. If you don't want to walk an addition 3+ miles each way, be sure to go in the summer when the gate is open. If not, this is a great winter hike with a unique falls.

Must Visit!

Love this place. Very accessible, very unique falls. Tons of angles for great shots. I recommend this adventure for all photographers!

Summer Not Ideal

I camp at this campground every summer and do the hike. I didn't realize how weak the waterfalls are in the summer until I visited in the late fall one year. These falls are awesome during the fall/winter months because they are raging with water. If you opt to do this adventure, I would do it in the fall!

Wasn't Able To Find

The directions are really hard to follow, but I did find the right trail and then ended up going down the hill, but couldn't find the falls at the bottom. TONS of downed trees made it really hard to walk. Wouldn't recommend unless you are REALLY looking for a crazy adventure.

Beautiful

Absolutely stunning! This place was amazing, I would love to go back in the summer to swim. Tons of little falls on the side falling off of the cliffs, and Steep Creek Falls was amazing in its self! I've never seen anything like it! This is a must do.

Popular But Great View

This trail is steep, but not too long. At the top, it is extremely windy but the view is gorgeous. I recommend going on a weekday where it won't be as crowded as on a weekend.

Awesome Falls, Tough Trek

The falls was really cool, but sliding down the hill and getting covered in mud was not ideal. I recommend walking up the stream rather than going up the hill and then back down. Still an awesome adventure however!

Boring Unless You Travel Off Trail

Overall, very unimpressed with this hike. However, at the end, if you opt just jump over the fence, you can go down to a cove at the bottom which has waves splashing all around it. This was very cool, but not easy to get to and extreme caution should be taken.

Nice Campground

This is a nice campground. Not much to do other than hike, but if that's all you like to do, then this is perfect! Great place to ride a bike as well!

Great Spot No Matter The Time Of Day

This spot is great in the morning for a sunrise, at night for a sunset, or even later in the night to see the city lights. Any time of day and this is still a great spot. Easy to access via the road and parking lot right near the spot. Highly recommend!

Beautiful and Not Crowded

This is an easy hike to an awesome falls in any season. It is not as crowded as other nearby falls. I would recommend to anyone in the gorge!

Small Falls

Overall, worth it in the wetter months. In the summer, not as much water is coming down, and therefore is not as good of a sight. If you go, go during the wetter months of the year.

Confusing

The first part of the hike after Multnomah Falls is great, but after you get higher up, their is lots of different trails which are unmarked, and can be confusing. If you choose to do this hike, be sure to bring a map with you!

Unique Falls

One of the most unique falls in the PNW. This is a must see for anyone in the area. I would also recommend scrambling down the hill and viewing from the bottom. Overall, this falls is awesome!
