Swimming at Falling Water Falls

Witts Springs, Arkansas

Description

Added by David Cox

This magical place is only 20 yards from the falling water falls road and it is one of the best swimming holes in Arkansas. At night when it is clear you can see the stars and the milky way easily. It is worth a capture so bring a camera!

Off of Highway 16, you will go down Falling Water Falls gravel road for about 2.5 miles and then you will end up at the destination. There is a gravel parking spot on the side of the road where you can pull off and park your vehicle. If the waterfall is flowing you can jump off the cliff into the water, it is about 8-10 feet deep. Once you jump off the waterfall, you can swim over to your right, be careful there are big boulders on your way back up, and once you are back on land there are wooden boards nailed into a tree. Climb up and do it again! If you want to stay the night there is a cliff overhang where you can pitch a tent, start a campfire, and spend a night under the stars with some friends. You can see the overhang in the distance in one of the pictures. It gets cold at night so bring something to keep you warm and cozy for the night.

This is a link to a video that shows where you can jump off safely; it gives you more of a visual of what the Falling Water Falls looks like, and it shows the gravel road in the distance where you park. Now kick back with your friends and enjoy! Peace & Blessings!
