The Sam's Throne Trial Head is directly off hwy 123 and is South of Mt Judea (town). This is a great trail if you just have few hours to kill, if you need a spot to just soak up the sunset, or if you need a good climb.

You can camp at the campgrounds below, but I suggest hiking to the top to camp, especially if you have hammocks! Top or bottom, its a great camping area with limited traffic.

Grab a trail map from the trail head, because there are a few ways to get to the top. All of them are beginner level. If you do go, I suggest going down below where you can rock climb. There is a trail down there as well that leads out to hwy 123.If you are near Harrison Arkansas, don't miss this one. It's the "Biggest Bang for Your Buck" around. Also if you are a climber like me this is a must (It is bolted). So what are you waiting for Head to Sam's Throne!
