Camp At Waheap Campground

Arizona Wahweap RV Campground

Added by Kelly Park

This centrally located campground offers modern amenities and is the perfect basecamp for all the amazing hikes on the Utah/Arizona border, the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, and Page, Arizona.

This modern campground is just steps from the beach and centrally located on the Arizona / Utah border -- perfect for exploring both sides of the Glen Canyon National Recreational Area.

You do need a national parks pass or will incure a $25 fee to enter the park (good for one week).  The campground is large but does fill up quickly -- even on weekdays and in the cooler months -- so be sure to make a reservation.

Each campsite is equipped with a picnic table and fire ring with nearby modern bathrooms that offer electrical outlets and a dish washing sink.  Showers are only located near the camp office and cost $2.00 for 15 minutes (quarters only!).

The camping fees vary (please call to check current rates) but are about $26/night for tent sites and $48/night for RV sites.  Discounts are offered for AARP, AAA, National Park Senior Pass, and National Park Access Pass.

From the campground, you can walk about a quarter mile to the beautiful Wahweap Beach to take a dip or catch the gorgeous sunset.  Boat tours of Lake Powell are offered at the nearby Wahweap Marina.  Be sure to check out all the famous canyon hikes in the area as well!
