Stunning views the entire way up! This is a great, challenging, beautiful hike that allows you to feel accomplished at the top. Highly recommend checking this one out next time you're near Estes.

This is a great workout! After they rerouted post the floods in 2013, this really is a hike with quite the incline. But, the overall view at the flat irons and Boulder are stunning on a clear day. Try and go on the weekdays but even then this trail is pretty crowded. Have fun!

Dispersed Camp at the Buffalo Creek Area in Pike National Forest

I have not actually camped at this area but REALLY want to! The dispersed spots look unreal- large, open areas with boulders everywhere. A group of us went to camp here this weekend but there is a fire ban in Jefferson County if you're not at an actual campground. Buffalo Creek Campground was closed, so we drove a little further down Highway 126 to the Lone Rock Campground and had a blast!
