Hey! My name is Andrew, I'm a Southern California resident who can't get enough of the outdoors

This is my home mountain. I grew up skiing here. I've skied at a lot of places including Whistler, Breckenridge, Deer Valley, Lake Tahoe area, and it's pretty hard to beat Mammoth. My favorite thing has got to be the people. All the workers on the mountain and in town are some of the friendliest and most helpful people you'll ever meet. Skiers are super friendly too! Chair chat is the super easy and lots of fun people on the mountain. Pro-tip: the Florentine scramble at Main Lodge might just be the best breakfast ever, make sure to stop by and get it at some point!

I did this just this past weekend and had no problems with crowds at all. Rent Yaktrax and Microspikes from Zion Adventure Company in Springdale for $7 and $10 respectively, and 50% off that rate for subsequent days. This is a steal and they proved to be invaluable on the last 0.5 mile if you don't have them or didn't want to pack your own. The snow definitely adds a magical touch to the landscape! One of my all time favorite hikes, this hike and Zion have a special place in my heart

Not much to see during the hike itself, but the Lake itself is incredible and unmatched. Not for the faint of heart, I'd suggest getting an early start because of crowds and in the winter, well, you know... The sun setting at 4:30 (i'm not salty). Hit the falls on the way up, you're not gonna feel like seeing them on the way back, trust me!

Being such a quick and easy hike, this is a must for anyone in the Seattle area. With well-maintained trails, its hard not to enjoy this hike and the ice caves themselves. I brought my parents here when they came up for the weekend to give them a taste of the Pacific Northwest and this was the perfect hike. Highly recommend it!

Love this spot! Came at golden hour one of my first nights here and was not disappointed! Parking is a little hard to come by right by the park but there is a lot more on 3rd and 4th

Nice walk and incredible sunsets! If you plan on going all the way to the lighthouse, I recommend you not to go on a windy/rainy day as the lighthouse area does not have much shelter

The falls themselves are incredible, but add the fact that they are only an hour drive from downtown Seattle and that its a relatively easy hike makes it that much better. I can't believe something this amazing is so close! Quick tip: there is a lower parking lot very close to the lower boardwalk however I recommend doing the entire hike (really its a walk) as it lets you immerse yourself into the Snoqualmie area!
