Visit the Highest Point in Alabama

Cheaha State Park, Alabama

Description

Added by Kendra Isbell

With an easily accessible path to a popular spot and beautiful views all around, the highest point in Alabama is definitely worth a visit!

Cheaha State Park is well worth the visit to reach Alabama’s highest point and to gaze at the beautiful views in every direction from several popular spots. Drive through the main gate after you pay the entry fee and follow the map. Bald Rock and Pulpit Rock are two of the spots you will want to make the short trek to and sit and marvel at the beauty of Alabama as far as the eye can see. Bring a picnic basket and have lunch with a view or venture out and explore the trails. You can access the Pinhoti trail from here as well. Plus, there is an accessible boardwalk to the Bald Rock overlook! There are also a couple of lakes nearby.
