Exploring the Secret Sea Caves

This was our second attempt to hit the tide pools (note: be sure to go at low tide) in search of the caves. We were unable to access the caves, much to our dismay. The park has closed the caves off the caves to all visitors. However, the tide pools were interesting, views were nice, and all the tiny crabs were adorable. In short, not worth the hassle of your are in search of a cave.

Torrey Pines Beach Trail Loop

I'd recommend heading out there early in the morning. That way you can avoid lying for parking and snag a free space at the waterfront. The park was fantastic. So many different views, all equally as breathtaking. Taking the beach stairs was a blast, it's a never ending treasure trove of adventure. Check this out!!

Hike Stonewall Peak

We took the hour drive from San Diego and it was well worth it! In fact, it inspired us to do more hiking out in Julian. Views were incredible, boulders were awesome to climb on the way up and endless photo ops.
