Hike to Willow Falls Reviews

Not bad, the waterfall was beautiful! However, we went the "Lake" to walk along it and apparently it had been drained so there is only a small river at this point.

There is also sport climbing in a cave right next to the falls.

We came in from the River Road trailhead because the other lots were full. Beautiful stepped falls made it worthwhile. The falls were pretty crowded (Labor Day weekend).

I hiked from the waterfall parking lot to the waterfall and it was a pleasant time. The paved path is pretty steep but not too difficult and the waterfall is absolutely worth it. Take your lunch and enjoy the cool water running over your feet while taking in the rushing water. It's a bit crowded on the weekends but still enjoyable, especially if you can find your own spot in the shade.

Beautiful views on all of the walking trails. Playing in the waterfall was a blast too.

If you're are trying to fill the day and don't mind a short hike try driving to the very end of the park to the broken down dam. Then hike along the river for a couple miles until you have to get back onto the trail. Once you're back on the trail you're pretty much at the falls. Don't be confused by the map! There is no longer a lake. I did this hike in both the fall and winter. Obviously be careful by the water. Personally I thought the falls were much cooler in the winter when they were almost frozen over! When I went the first time in the fall my friends and I hung hammocks under the bridge and were able to go under the fall. Definitely worth a trip.
