Description

The canyon is absolutely gorgeous in the wintertime- an unfamiliar world that is amazingly quiet, filled with an abundance of frosted pine trees, and enjoyed by many dogs (and their owners).

The trailhead is found on a road that begins right before entering Millcreek Canyon. At the first stop sign on the road that leads into Millcreek Canyon, turn right. Upon following this road will lead to a parking lot. The trail is open to dogs.

During the wintertime, depending on snow conditions (which in my case, SL has been receiving SO much snow, so the trail + canyon had at least 4-5 inches of snow) snow shoes are highly recommended, especially if you'd like to go to the top. The trail will get steeper and more "hilly" as you get towards the top. For casual dog walking or a mild hike, hiking boots will suffice. Gorgeous scenery. Many playful, friendly dogs with just as friendly owners.
