A Morning Scramble at Alta

Salt Lake City, Utah

Description

Added by Dana Tran

In an attempt to do a throwback hike to Cecret Lake, we ended up just climbing and chilling around on some nice rocks.

Drove all the way up Little Cottonwood Canyon, up to the point where the road turned into gravel. We went on a Monday morning so the usual parking spot to the left was empty. We casually walked along the gravel road to find a gate entrance to the right with a small stream next to it. We walked along this trail and eventually came across a hill of rocks that were easy to climb. You'll find yourself a rad- ass rock, look for all the cool holds on it, but also remember how much the rock would cut up your hands. Then you'll look up and see even more rocks that look great to be on! The process continues and you find yourself on top of a giant hill of rocks. (Haha)
