Description

Added by Dana Tran

The changing scenery is one of the most appealing aspects about this hike. You begin with pavement, then mud, giant rocks, towering Aspens, then giant red rocks, and eventually a beautiful lake. It's long, but well worth it. When you come back down you'll be surprised by all that you ventured through to get to the top.

The trail begins with pavement and eventually becomes a rocky road. In the spring water may flow along the trail, so it can be extremely muddy and messy. Besides that, the hiker is surrounded by trees and shards of rock. At some point you break past the initial set of mountains, and the environment changes. There are dozens of white Aspens with even larger snow covered mountains in the background. The trail takes on an "s" dynamic- winding back and forth as you increase in elevation.
