11 mile out-and-back scenic hike to Mount LeConte via Alum Cave Trail. Terrific day hike if you're looking for a bit of a challenge!
Starting at the Alum Cave trailhead in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, this trail leads to Mount LeConte and LeConte Lodge at 6,593 ft elevation. Be sure to continue through to Myrtle Point, about .7 miles past LeConte Lodge, for some of the most beautiful views in the Smokies.
