Explore the Wonders of the Historical Beehive Coke Ovens

Leetonia, Ohio

Description

Added by Cameron Kennedy

Here's a hidden gem in Ohio. Take a short walk through history. See where Cherry Valley Iron Works used ovens to burn coal into coke which was used to fuel ovens that produced iron and steel.

The address will lead you directly to the parking lot where you will begin to see ovens. On site there are around 200 ovens which where built around 1866. This is a very unique place. (BEFORE TRAVELING HERE KNOW THAT THERE ARE NOT TRAILS. Less than half mile of walking)
